Coreen Zell

Coreen Zell is a reporter for TMJ4. She has been with the station since 2015.

Wisconsin is the closest Coreen has lived to her hometown of Rockford, Illinois since graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

"I knew I would be back to the Midwest, but first I wanted to see what other parts of the country were like. I hoped it would make me a better journalist."

Before calling Milwaukee home Coreen spent several years reporting at KSDK in St. Louis. Prior to that she worked in Macon, GA as an Anchor/Reporter at WMGT. Coreen interned at WFLD in Chicago where she was later hired as a Production Assistant. She also spent time in London as an intern at CNBC Europe.

"The best part about this job is meeting all kinds of people. Everyone has a story to tell."

Since moving to Wisconsin, Coreen tied the knot and welcomed a baby girl (born a cheesehead). Her family loves spending time outdoors biking, hiking, camping and skiing with their Australian Shepherd leading the way.

Coreen loves checking out the restaurant scene. Have a spot she should try, or a story idea to share? Email her at coreen.zell@tmj4.com.
