Coreen Zell

Coreen Zell has been a general assignment reporter with TODAY'S TMJ4 since October 2015.

Wisconsin is the closest Coreen has lived to her hometown of Rockford, Illinois since graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

"I knew I would be back to the Midwest, but first I wanted to see what other parts of the country were like. I hoped it would make me a better journalist."

Most recently Coreen spent more than three years reporting at KSDK in St. Louis. She spent nearly five years in Macon, GA as an Anchor/Reporter at WMGT. Coreen interned at WFLD in Chicago where she was later hired as a Production Assistant. She also spent time in London as an intern at CNBC Europe.

"The best part about this job is meeting all kinds of people. Everyone has a story to tell."

When Coreen isn't working she's spending time outdoors (snow and all) with her Yorkie and Australian Shepherd. She enjoys biking, hiking, camping and skiing.

Coreen and her husband love checking out the restaurant scene. Have a spot she should try or a story idea to share? Email her at coreen.zell@tmj4.com.
