Lance Kendricks, tight end for the Green Bay Packers, spent his formative years at Rufus King High School, where TODAY’S TMJ4 caught up with the pro to walk the halls and reminisce.

From the Generals, to the Badgers, and now the Packers, he’s lived a Milwaukee kid’s dream.

“The Packers were definitely my favorite team, you know growing up watching Brett Favre, Reggie White...all those guys, that was the team,” he said.

Sometimes Kendricks can’t believe it’s a reality, catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.

“It’s pretty surreal, it’s pretty cool. You know when I was with the Rams we watched Aaron doing his quick count, getting everybody to draw offsides and then snapping the ball and throwing a 60-yarder for a touchdown,” he said.

Seeing his old jersey brings back a flood of thoughts.

“I used to wear this in the hallways,” he said.

Today, he looks forward to winning a Super Bowl for his home state’s team.

“That would mean everything, that’s what every kids dreams of, especially with the home team in the home state,” he said.
