The former Bucks’ owner talked about tearing down the BMO Harris Bradley Center as the team starts their final season in the arena.

Herb Kohl said the Bradley Center brought a lot of memories.

“It’s been more than 30 years I have been engaged in it. And it has provided us a lot of thrills, a lot of good times,” Kohl said.

But he thinks it’s time to move. So do a lot of fans.

“I think it’s well overdue. This is actually built for hockey, not Bucks basketball. So now we are getting a basketball arena,” said fan Armond Sensabaugh.

“The Bradley Center is getting old, we needed an upgrade. The new arena looks incredible,” said fan Jerry Miller.

And with the way the team is looking fans think it’s only a matter of time before they have a banner to raise.

“I think the new arena will be a lot better for us and we are going to finally win a championship,” said fan William Smith.

Even Kohl said there will be no tears when the Bradley Center finally comes down. It brought a lot of joy to him and the city.

“I’m not sad about it because life is always about tomorrow. There’s always a time and a place when you need to look to the future,” Kohl said.

The new arena is set to open in the fall.
