Milwaukee has lost a maverick, a motivator, and an inspiring leader.

ReDonna Rodgers founded the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship. As Executive Director she helped more than 19,000 people over more than 25 years. Rodgers was featured in Positively Milwaukee in 2002.

She was passionate about lifting young minds.

"The goal is to spread our message that your life is your business and your business can be your life," insisted Rodgers.

In 1995 former TODAY'S TMJ4 Anchor Bill Taylor also featured Rodgers in Positively Milwaukee after she'd just been hired as Director of the Hillside Boys and Girls Club.

Rodgers exclaimed, "With all the recreation we have here I want to focus on education. The vehicles we have here is how we can help...help them learn how to communicate and have a good self worth about themselves."

ReDonna Rodgers died last week of cancer at the age of 58. But her legacy will shine bright through the many young men and women who took her advice and invested in themselves.
