Highway 50 in Kenosha County is closed due to heavy flooding near the Fox River, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

WisDOT said in a news release that the highway is closed to both east and west traffic near the river starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday and is expected to last for the next several days.

The department says the roadway will be reopened after water levels decrease. Detours will be posted for alternate routes.

Elsewhere, County KR between the west and east frontage roads under I-41/I-94 are closed. In Walworth County, WIS 120 is closed from County D To WIS 11, and US 12 from County ES to County A. US 12 traffic will be rerouted to County A, County H and other local roads. The other closures will not have detours posted.
