Have you ever watched a whole television series within in 24 hours of its release on Netflix? If so, Netflix has a new term for you: “Binge-Racer.”
And according to Netflix, there are 8.4 million “Binge-Racers” in the world.
Binge-racing has increased 20 times from 2013 to 2016, according to Netflix’s global viewing data.The increase is likely due to a large part to the rising popularity of streaming networks, and the corresponding trend of releasing entire seasons at once.
So what are viewers binging on?
Here in Wisconsin, Netflix says the three most Binge-Raced shows are: Gilmore Girls, Fuller House, and Trailer Park Boys.
Globally, Netflix says the top three Binge-Raced shows are: Gilmore Girls, Fuller House, and Marvel’s The Defenders.
The United States ranks number two behind Canada as the country with the most Binge Racers.
