New York Times writer: Milwaukee 'vivid and cheap'

A New York Times travel writer spent time in Milwaukee.

Wednesday, the New York Times published Lucas Peterson's column about visiting Milwaukee.

He hit popular spots like Lakefront Brewery, Glorioso's, Kopp's, the Milwaukee Art Museum and Just Art's Saloon.

Peterson stayed on Brady Street, which some TODAY'S TMJ4 spoke with called the perfect spot for visitors.

He summed up his visit as "cheap drinks, Midwestern soul food and a sensibility that incorporates equal parts worldliness with small-town friendliness."
