1 dead, 4 injured in 5 separate Milwaukee shootings

Shootings occured in a 12 hour time period.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating five separate shootings that left one person dead and four others injured.
 
The shootings occurred mostly on Sunday -- within a 12 hour time period of each other.
 
The fatal shooting occurred near the intersection of 60th and Burleigh Streets. Officers arrived to the scene and found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at a gas station. The driver of the vehicle said that the shooting occurred in the area of 76th Street and Mill Road and could not provide any other details surrounding the shooting. The Milwaukee Fire Department provided medical treatment but died from his injuries. 
 
The other shooting incidents are listed below:
 
Milwaukee police were called to the 1900 block of South Congo St. regarding a shooting around 11 a.m. Sunday. According to police, officers found a 23-year-old man suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim states that he was walking in the area when a vehicle pulled up and fired gunshots at him. The victim was conveyed to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. He is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury.
 
Milwaukee police was dispatched to a shooting complaint in the 3100 N. 2nd Street around 3:05 p.m. Sunday. Officers were met by a 27-year-old women who stated that she was sitting on her porch when a subject fired several gunshots at her. The woman received a non-fatal gunshot wound from the gunfire. She was treated on the scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department and conveyed to a local hospital.
 
A 27-year-old man was driving north in the 2700 block of N. Sherman Blvd. when he heard several gunshots and then realized that he was shot. The victim parked his vehicle, called for help and waited for medical help to arrive. Police say the Milwaukee Fire Department treated the victim on the scene, and subsequently transported him to a local hospital. The victim received a non-fatal gunshot injury and is expected to survive.
 
Milwaukee police responded to a non-fatal shooting located in the 2700 block of N. 18th Street. Police say the 19-year-old man was engaged in a verbal argument with a known suspect and was shot. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was treated on the scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department and was conveyed to a local hospital.  Police say the victim is expected to survive his injuries. Milwaukee police is seeking a known suspect in the shooting.
