Locals hang scarves in Red Arrow Park for those in need

MILWAUKEE -- Nearly 100 scarves decorate Red Arrow Park. A Lake Country Firefighter and Paramedic tells us it's meant to send a simple message: to spread the warmth this holiday.

Crystal Scheid pulled scarves out of her own closet to remind people of the true meaning of this holiday season. She convinced her friends and family in Oconomowoc, Waukesha, and Pewaukee to grab what they could out of their own closets.

Sunday morning, they helped decorate their favorite spot of the season.

"We want to bring warmth back to this place," said Scheid.

Scheid tells us she plans to come back out to Red Arrow park next month and fill the park with more scarves.
