KENOSHA -- A Kenosha man was killed after police say he  was lending his neighbor a vacuum and interrupted an armed robbery.

Kenosha Police say 39-year-old Bernard Reavers died Saturday after he was shot on August 21.

Police responded at about 8:30 a.m. to the neighborhood near 24th Avenue and Roosevelt.

Police say Reavers was taking a vacuum to his upstairs neighbor and may have interrupted an armed robbery.

The father of three was shot inside the house and taken to the hospital where he died six days later.

His next door neighbor Teresa Rademacher says Reavers was always playing with his daughters in their front yard.

"He was such a good family man and all of that," she said. "And he was just helping out, I mean anything any one of us would do and I just feel sorry for his daughters."

Police say Reavers' upstairs neighbor may have been involved in illegal drug activity.

On Monday, Kenosha Police released a photo of a vehicle that was seen in the area shortly after the crime happened.

Police say it's a vehicle of interest and ask anyone with information to contact them. They are also looking for additional surveillance video of the car.

They say the suspect in this case is a man and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police are asking anyone with information about that car or the crime to call the Kenosha Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
