The Jewish Community Center in Whitefish Bay was forced to close once again because of a bomb threat that was emailed in overnight.

The Wisconsin center was just one of many across the country that received the threat.

The threat came in before the center was to open to students for the day. The Whitefish Bay Police Department and other local agencies responded to the school. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad cleared the building by 9 a.m.

Less than 12 hours before, the Whitefish Bay Village council unanimously passed a resolution of support and solidarity for the community center, which has been at the center of threats twice before this year.

The Whitefish Bay and the FBI are investigating today’s threats.
