The Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center underwent significant renovations in the Fall of 2016.

The renovations include the addition of a spa for some well-deserved pampering for moms-to-be.

There is also a multipurpose room which, as Dr. Kate Dielentheis says, can be used for events like a baby shower.

"One of the things moms sometimes miss when they have to stay here for a prolonged period of time is something like their baby shower. We have a room that patients can have their families come and have a baby shower even though they're here in the hospital," she said.

The Birth Center opened in 1997. The Shoppach quadruplets were born there almost 16 years ago. They were recently given a photo that hung on the wall on the Birth Center for many years. The doctor who delivered the quads presented the photo to them.

"I walked by this picture probably a thousand times," said Dr. Dwight Cruikshank, a retired OB-GYN, "and I always thought well that's a nice picture of four little kids, and I wondered who they are."

The quadruplets said they feel blessed that they are happy and healthy and able to receive the photo.

The Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center has partnered with TODAY'S TMJ4 for the 15th annual Community Baby Shower.

It is Friday, January 13th. Drop off any new baby items like diapers, wipes, blankets, bottles and clothes at any area Sentry Food store. All of the donations stay local.
