MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin's largest city saw its population decline in 2016, according to new US Census Bureau estimates.

The City of Milwaukee's population was estimated at 595,047 people in 2016, a decrease of 4,366. That continues a two-year trend of decline in Milwaukee - the Brew City has lost more than 5,000 residents since Census estimates peaked at just over 600,000 in 2014.

The Census Bureau provides annual estimates for cities and counties all across the country, though its main count is every 10 years - the next one will be in 2020.

Wisconsin's other major cities saw a mixed bag of results from 2015 to 2016.
