WAUKESHA --  More international students are studying at Carroll University this year than ever before.

"I feel so nervous and excited," said Benyapa Khowpinitchai, from Thailand.

Students are coming from 25 countires to study in Waukesha.

"We've got students coming from every continent except for Antartica and Australia," explained Jeannie Jaworski, Director of International Education at Carroll University.

2,700 undergrad students are enrolled at Carroll University.  57 international students start this fall.  35 students arrived in Milwaukee Wednesday.

"I will be studying pharmaceutical technology," said Saroj Timsina, from Nepal.

"I'm studying education," explained Seonjoo BOK, South Korea.

Between studying in a new culture and not knowing anyone, students are prepared for a challenge.

"I have to work to study to find new friends and speak the language," explained Khowpinitchai.

They're excited to see what Wisconsin has to offer.

"I've heard that Wisconsin is famous for cheese," said Khowpinitchai.

"I've seen a lot of parties going on in the movies so maybe I think that's what I'm looking forward to," explained BOK.
