If you’re looking to make some money right now, Amazon is hiring.

The shopping behemoth is building staff for the holiday season.

Amazon is scouring southeast Wisconsin for hundreds of seasonal workers -- contracting with Monster.com -- in a desperate attempt to fill part-time positions.

“Especially when they are entering their busy season they need a lot of part time seasonal people willing to do the jobs, so I think that the need is definitely out there," Emma Barton said. "So if anyone is looking for part time work Amazon is definitely a good place.”

After filling out applications, choosing a shift and passing a drug test, candidates are a virtual lock for the job.

“I think it’s a pretty good opportunity for me because I don’t have a job right now at this point, and I need a job to pay my rent,"  Exlexices Sawyer said.

The cream of the crop can end up keeping their post permanently, according to Monster’s Alex Clayton.

“A lot of people are looking for something to turn into long term employment which we definitely like to stress," he said. "It really comes down to work ethic and attitude, and if you do that there’s definitely a high chance of being converted.”

“It’s important to get people back to work, especially for the holiday season," recruiter Robert Dreher said.

On location recruiting will continue in multiple locations around the Kenosha area Thursday, and Monday and Tuesday of next week.
