20-year-old man, 14-year-old girl injured in double shooting on Milwaukee's south side

Police continue to search for suspects involved.

MILWAUKEE – A 20-year-old man and 14-year-old girl were injured during a double shooting on Milwaukee’s south side Monday night. 

It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of S. 36th Street. 

According to police, several people were sitting on the front porch of a residence when  two suspects appeared from a nearby alley. The suspects made several statements and abruptly began to fire gunshots at the group. The suspects then fled on foot.

Police say the 20-year-old man was treated at the residence and was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to survive his injury.
 
The 14-year-old girl, who was also on the porch, received a graze wound type injury. Police say her injury was very minor. She was treated at the scene and was released to her parents.  

Police continue to search for suspects in this incident.
