LODI, Wis -- As a way to spread awareness on package thefts, a second mannequin display, this time in reference to a Christmas classic, was set up on a porch in Lodi.

Ralphie and a large crate labeled "fragile" that may or may not hold the scandalous leg lamp from 1983's "A Christmas Story," were placed on the porch with an added message about keeping packages safe this holiday season.

Earlier this season, officers spotted "Cousin Eddie" emptying his RV, a recreation from the movie "Christmas Vacation."

Police say people are using the new display to raise awareness of "porch pirates," or thieves who take advantage of holiday shipping season to take delivered packages off people's front steps.

Authorities recommend getting packages shipped at a time when you are home, or a time when a neighbor can monitor your package.
